[:en]The Servant of the Lord is Jesus Christ. He will restore the tribe of Jacob and bring ack Israel. he will be a light to the Gentiles and bring salvation to all mankind. The Lord is holy, faithful and compassionate. He is the covenant of God to fulfill all the promises God made to the fathers. The nation returned to the land was a picture of their first return when Messiah comes.
God never forgets Israel. He has engraved them on the palm of His hands. He will gather them and bring them home.
These are God’s promises to us:
- “Those who hope in me will never be disappointed” (v. 23)
- “I will contend with those who contend you and your children I will save (v. 25)
- “I will make your oppressors eat their own flesh and drink on their own blood” (v. 26a)
- “I , the Lord, am your Savior, your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob” (v. 26b)
