[:en]”Since ancient times, no one had heard, no ear has perceived, no eye has seen any God besides you, who acts on behalf of those who wait for Him” (v. 4). The Jews were defeated and disgraced before their enemies because God had hidden His face from them. He had not intervened due to their sins and evil ways.
Isaiah emphasized the importance of prayer. There is a need for an intercessor, someone who will get stirred up about the need for confessing of sins and seeking God’s face. We need to pray and get right God (vss. 6-7)
The Lord is our Father. We are the clay and He is the potter. We are all the work of His hand (v. 8). Unless we submit and surrender to God, He is not going to come down with His power to bless us.[:]
