[:en]SCRIPTURE:  PHILIPPIANS 4

“Rejoice in the Lord always, I will say it again, Rejoice!_ (Philippians 4:4)

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God.  And the peace of God, which transcends all understaind, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Philippinas 4:6-7)

“I have learned to be content whatever the cirumstances: (Philippians 4:11)

“I can do everything through Him who gives me strength” (Philippians 4:13)

“And my God will meet all your needs according to His glorious riches in christ Jesus” (Philippians 1:19)

Paul addressed some relational problems of two women – Euodia and Syntyche.  He asked them to reconcile.  He told Christians to secure their minds with the peace of God  so that they would be free from worries.  Oftentimes, we worry about problems that caused our mind and feelings to create anxiety in our hearts.  Paul’s mind and heart were at peace because he knew God’s presence, God’s power and God’s provision.  He was not in anyway disturbed by peoples’ cirumstances or things.  He was joyful and contented in whatever circumstances, whetehr well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want.  He rejoice even he was in prison.

In closing, Paul thanked the Philippians for their gifts and affirmed God’s strength for him to do everuything he assumed

LESSON:

  1.  Be at peace with fellow Christians and reconcile differences with the love of God
  2. Rejoice always!
  3. Do not worry about anything.  Present your request to God through Prayer and Petition with Thanksgiving.
  4. Let the peace of God dwell in your heart so that your thinking, prayer and living would be right
  5. Be generous to share with those in need
  6. Support God’s ministers
  7. Ask God to focus your mind on what is pure and good
  8. Read God’s word and put it into practice.
  9. Learn to be contented in any circmstances by trusting in His provision.
  10. Believe in God’s sufficiency to grant you the ability to accomplish anything according to His well
