[:en]SCRIPTURE:  1 THESSALONIANS 3

“May the Lord make your love increase and overflow for each other and for everyone else just as ours does for you.  May He strengthen your hearts so that you will be blameless and holy in the presence of our God and Father when our Lord Jesus comes with all His holy ones” (1 Thessaloninans 3:12-13)

Paul longed to see the Thessalonians but he coud not go there.  So he trained Timothy and sent him to strengthen and encourage them in their faith during their trials.  He wrote them a letter to teach and explain God’s Word.  He also prayed for them to have matured faith, living hope and abounding love.   In the midst of tribulation, the promise of Christ’s coming gave them the courage and strength to withstand sufferings.  It also helped them to live blameless and holy lives.

LESSION:

The church needs gifted believers to be established in faith.  Mature Christians in the church must help younger Christians to grow in Christ.  Proclaiming the gospel, teaching the Word and prayer are essential to defeat Satan.  We should abound in love, establish in faith and  inspired by hope of Christ’s return.   For the truth of Christ’s second coming will give us hope and encourage us to meet Christ with a blameless life.
