[:en]SCRIPTURE:  GALATIANS 6

“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time, we will reap a havest if we do not give up” (Galatians 6:9)

Paul’s Exhortations:

  1. Gently restore brothers caught in sin.  Reach out to him in love (v. 1a)
  2. Watch out not to be tempted (v. 1b)
  3. Carry each other’s burden to fulfill the law of Christ (v. 2)
  4. Stay humble (v. 3)
  5. Do not compare yourself with anyone  (v. 4)
  6. Share good things to one who gives instruction in the Word (v. 6)
  7. A man reaps what he sows (v. 7)
  8. Do not become weary in doing good and trust God for the results (v. 9)
  9. Do good especially to those who belong to the family of believers (v. 10)

Paul reiterated that circumcision means nothing.  Those who compel people to be circumcised want to make a good impression outwardly and boast about their flesh.   Never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ (v. 14) “Neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything; what counts is a new creation” (v. 15)

Lesson:  Love can bring back a fallen brethren.  Compassion, encouragement and generosity can help lessen one’s burden.  Do not think highly of yourself, instead be humble.  Share with those who work for the kingdom of the Lord.  For every action, there is an reaction, so plant seeds of love and kindness and you will receive everlasting joy and comfort.  Keep doing good to everyone especially to the family of believers and reap harvest of blessings.[:]
