“Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said. “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you”. So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?” (Hebrews 13:5-6)
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever” (Hebrews 13:8)
“Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise – the fruit of lips that confess His name. And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices, God is please” (Hebrews 13:15-16)
“Obey your leaders and submit to their authority…” (Hebrews 13:17)
Concluding Exhortations:
- Love each other as brothers (v. 1)
- Do not forget to entertain strangers (v. 2)
- Remember those in prison (v. 3)
- Keep your marriage pure. For God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral (v. 4)
- Be content with what you have (v. 5)
- Remember your leaders (v. 7) Obey them and submit to their authority (v. 17). Pray for them (v. 18) and greet all your leaders and God’s people (v. 24)
- Do not be carried away by all kinds of strange teachings (v. 9)
- Offer to God a sacrifice of praise (v. 15)
- Do good and share with one another (v. 16)
Lesson:
Let us be a Christian that has a spiritual fellowship of love, with spiritual food of the Word, offering spiritual sacrifices of praise, of good works and of sharing. For we are assured of the spiritual power that God will give us to live and serve Him.[:]
