SUMMARY:

The opening of the 7th seal involves the 7 trumpets.  In the Old Testament, trumpets were used to move the camp (Numbers 10:1-8), announce the war (Numbers 10:9), announce the feasts (Numbers 10:10), and collapse the wall of Jericho (Joshua 6:20).  The trumpet symbolizes power and authority (Exo. 19:16-19).  The trumpet sound in Revelation is the announcement of judgment.  The first judgment is to the earth.  The 2nd judgment is to the sea.  The 3rd judgment is to the river.  The 4rd judgment brings tremendous calamities to the sky.   The angel is giving warnings to the world that the next forthcoming three judgments will be worse.[:]
