[:en]SCRIPTURE: JOB 38
“Do you know the law of the heavens? Can you set up God’s dominion over the earth?” (Job 38:33)
“Who provides food for the ravens when its young cry out to God and wander about for lack of food?” (Job 38:41)
THE LORD SPEAKS:
God examined Job on several subjects:
- Creation – Dimension and foundation of the earth; the dawn of the sun and the spread of the light; the measurement of the sea, cloud and dust; morning stars, angels, winds, water, and land
- Inanimate nature – Snow and hail; rain, ice, dew
- Heavens – Pleiades, Orion, constellations, lightning, thunder
- Animals – Lion, ravens
Job wanted to reason with God but he failed the examination. Job now realized God’s greatness and his own littleness.
We cannot fathom the greatness of God. We should be humble to submit to him in obedience to His Word.[:]
