[:en]SCRIPTURE:  PSALM 27

The Lord if my light and my salvation – whom shall I fear?  The Lord is the stronghold of my life – of whom shall I be afraid? (Psalm 27:1-2)

“One thing I ask of the Lord, this is what I seek:  that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple” (Psalm 27:4)

“Though my father and mother forsake me, the Lord will receive me” (Psalm 27:10)

“Teach me your way, O Lord; lead me in a straight path because of my oppressors” (Psalm 27:11)

“Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord” (Psalm 27:14)

Why was David not afraid of evil men and his enemies?  Because God is his light and salvation.  The Lord is the stronghold of his life.  His heart did not fear even if there was outbreak of war with an army besieging him.

One thing he asked from the Lord was to seek his face and dwell in His house all the days of his life in order to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord.  The Lord will keep him safe from trouble.  He will hide him in the shelter of his tabernacle and set him high upon a rock.  He will be exalted above his enemies.  Then he will shout with joy and sing to the Lord.

David wanted to seek God’s face because He had been his helper.  He asked the Lord to teach him His way and lead him a straight path.  He had faith to see the goodness of the Lord because he had learned to wait for the Lord.

What is your biggest fear?  Do not be afraid.  God is your light and salvation.  He will protect you if you will seek Him and dwell in His house.

Do you see to believe or believe to see?  Thomas said: “Seeing is believing (John 20:25), but Jesus says: “Believing is seeing” (John 11:40).  Build your faith and walk in faith.

Learn to wait on the Lord.  Trust His goodness and mercy.  Be patient because God’s time is different from ours.  Be confident because He is a faithful God.  He never fails.[:]
