“The Lord reigns forever; he has established his throne for judgment. He will judge the world in righteousness; he will govern the people with justice (Psalm 9:8)
“The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. Those who know your name will trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you” (Psalm 9:9-10)
David thanked the Lord because he had won against his enemies. He looked forward for God to judge the world and establish his kingdom that governs his people with righteousness. He prayed to God for mercy so that he may praise the Lord and tell others about His salvation.[:]
