[:en]SCRIPTURE: PSALMS 28
“Hear my cry for mercy as I call to you for help, as I lift up my hands toward your Most Holy Place” (Psalm 28:2)
“Praise be to the Lord, for he has heard my cry for mercy” (Psalm 28:6)
“The Lord is the strength of his people, a fortress of salvation for his anointed one” (Psalm 28:8)
David made two requests from God:
- Hear my cry for help
- Repay the wicked for their deeds and evil work.
God heard him and helped him. So, David praised God, gave thanks to Him in song and leaped for joy. He concluded that the Lord is the strength of His people, a fortress of salvation from His anointed one. He is the shepherd who saves the people and blesses them with His inheritance.
Lift your hands to the Lord and trust God to be your strength and salvation. Sing songs of praise for His mercy. Leave your burdens to him to carry. And soon, you will experience jubilation.
