[:en]SCRIPTURE:  PSALM 33

“Sing joyfully to the Lord, you righteous; it is fitting for the upright to praise him.  Praise the Lord with the harp; make music to him on the ten stringed lyre” (Psalm 33:1-2)

“The Lord loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of his unfailing love” (Psalm 33:5)

“Let all the earth fear the Lord; let all the people of the world revere him.  For he spoke, and it came to be; he commanded, and it stood firm” (Psalm 33:8-9)

“But the plans of the Lord stand firm forever; the purposes of his heart through all generations.  Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people he chose for his inheritance” (Psalm 33:11-12)

“We wait in hope for the Lord; he is our help and our shield.  In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name.  May your unfailing love rest upon us, O Lord, even as we put our hope in you” (Psalm 33:20-22)

David’s way of worshipping God:

  1. Sing joyfully to the Lord
  2. Praise the Lord with the harp
  3. Make music to him on the ten stringed lyre
  4. Sing to him a new song
  5. Play skillfully and shout for joy

David’s description of God’s Word:

  1. It is right and true
  2. It is where the heavens were made
  3. It stands firm forever
  4. It controls the whole universe

The nation whose God is the Lord will be blessed.  He chose Israel as the Holy nation and gave them special blessings.  He brought the Word of God and the Son of God through Israel.  Christ was born of the tribe of Judah in the family of David.

As  good citizens, we should pray for our nation.  We should share God’s Word with others and let our light shine for the Lord.

Lastly, David taught us to wait and hope for the Lord because He is our help and our shield.  God delays our prayer to give us better blessings.  He has a better plan for us.  So let our times be in His hands and practice patience.  Rest our hope and faith in Him and start worshipping and praising Him.
