[:en]SCRIPTURE: PSALM 47
“Clap your hands, all you nations; shout to God with cries of joy. How awesome is the Lord Most High, the great King over all the earth!” (Psalm 47:1-2)
“Sing praises to God, sing praises; sing praises to our King, sing praises For God is the King of all the earth; sing to him a psalm of praise” (Psalm 47:6-7)
The Psalmist described a praise celebration with clapping of hands, shouting to God with joy, sounding of trumpets and singing praises to God.
Why are they celebrating?
- His awesomeness
- His victory over nations
- His inheritance for us
- His sovereignty over the earth
- His reign on the Holy throne
- His majesty
Let us sing praise to God to acknowledge that God is king. Let us exalt Him to prove that He reigns over all nations. Clap your hands, shout with joy, play musical instruments and sing praises to God![:]
