“Hear, Ol Lord, and answer me, for I am poor and needy. Guard my life, for I am devoted to you. You are my God; save your servant who trusts in you” (Psalm 86:1-2)
“You are forgiving and good, O Lord, abounding in love to all who call to you. ” (Psalm 86:5)
“Hear my prayer, O Lord, listen to my cry for mercy. In the day of my trouble I will call to you, for you will answer me” (Psalm 86:6-7)
“Among the gods there is none like you, O Lord; no deeds can compare with yours” (Psalm 86:8)
“For you are great and do marvelous deeds; you alone are God” (Psalm 86:10)
“Teach me your way, O Lord, and i will walk in your truth; give me an undivided hearts, that I may fear your name. I will praise you, O Lord my God, withy all my heart; I will glorify your name forever” (Psalm 86:11-12)
“But you, O Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness” (Psalm 86:15)
DAVID’S PRAYER:
- Hear, O Lord and answer me for I am poor and need (v. 1)
- Guard my life, save your servant for I am devoted t you and I trust in you (v. 2)
- Have mercy on me (v. 3)
- Bring joy to me (v. 4)
- Teach me your way and I will walk in your truth (v. 11a)
- Give me an undivided heart that I may fear your name (v. 11b)
- I will praise you with all my heart and glorify your name forever (v. 12)
- Turn to me and grant your strength to me (v. 16)
- Give me a sign of your goodness to show my enemies (v. 17)

David encouraged us to pray. He urged us to remember who god is, what God does, and what He promises.
Are you praying? Do you thank God when he answers your prayer? Is your heart wholeheartedly devoted to Him? If you fear God, you will be praising and glorifying Him and enjoying the blessings of the Lord.
