[:en]SCRIPTURE: PSALM 97
“The heavens proclaim his righteousness, and all the peoples see his glory” (Psalm 97:6)
“For you, O Lord, are the Most High over all the earth; you are exalted far above all gods” (Psalm 97:9)
“Light is shed upon the righteous and joy on the upright in heart. Rejoice in the Lord, you who are righteous, and praise his holy name” (Psalm 97:11-12)
The Psalmist said the the Lord is now reigning. And here are the proofs:
- Even there is darkness on earth but righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne (v. 2)
- He consumes all His foes around Him (v. 3)
- He lightning lights up the world and the earth trembles (v. 4)
- The heavens proclaim Hi righteousness and all the people s see His glory (v. 6)
- He is the Most High over all the earth and is exalted far above all gods (v. 9)
Those who love the Lord should hate evil. So what must be the attitude of Christians towards evil?
- We must not defend evil
- We must not promote evil
- We must not ignore evil
- We must not endure evil but hate and oppose it.
When Jesus reigns, the earth is glad. Israel rejoices and the righteous see His glory. May all who love the Lord hate evil. May we rejoice in the Lord and praise His Holy name.[:]
