[:en]SCRIPTURE:  PSALM 114

“Tremble, O earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob, who turned the rock into a pool, the hard rock into springs of water” (Psalm 114:7-8)

This is how the Psalmist described the Exodus of the Israelites from Egypt.

  1. The sea looked and fled – God opened the Red Sea and Israelites walked on the dry land.
  2. Jordan turned back – the Israelites crossed the Jordan River over into the Promised Land
  3. The mountain skipped like rams, the hills like lambs – this was how the Israelites experienced in the wilderness.
  4. The rock turned into pool, the hard rock into springs of water – God turned the rock into springs of water for them to drink.

When you are facing the challenges of the world today, when you feel hopeless, handover your obstacles over to the Lord.  This is how He will turn your obstacles into blessings:

  1. He will open a way for you – like how He opened the Red Sea and Jordan River for the Israelites to cross
  2. He will guide your way – like how God led them with pillar of clouds by day and pillar of fire by night
  3. He will supply your needs – like how He supplied His people with manna.
  4. He will do the impossible –  like how God turned the rock into spring of water
  5. He will protect you – like how God helped them triumph over their enemies
  6. He will lead you to His eternal home – like how Judah became God’s sanctuary, Israel His dominion.

Today is VALENTINE’S DAY.  May you feel how great is the LOVE of God for you.  He  is your guide.  He is your provider.  He does wonderful things for you.  He is your protector and gives you salvation and prepares an eternal place for you in heaven.

How do you show your love to God?  This is love for God: To obey His commands” (1 John 5:3)  “Whoever loves God must also love his brothers” (1 John 4:21)

This is the greatest commandment:  “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.  The second is this: “Love your neighbor as yourself” (Mark 12:30-31, Mat. 22:37-39, Luke 10:27)

“Love is patient, love is kind.  It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.  It is not rude,  it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.  Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.  It always protects, always trust, always hopes, always perseveres.  Love never fails” (1 Corinthians 13:4-8)[:]
