[:en]SCRIPTURE:  PSALM 106

“Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever” (Psalm 106:1)

“Blessed are they who maintain justice, who constantly do what is right” (Psalm 106:3)

“Praise be to the Lord, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting.  Let all the people say, “Amen!”, Praise the Lord” (Psalm 106:48)

God had delivered Israel from Egypt.  He showed favor to His people by saving them and letting them enjoy His inheritance.  However, instead of submitting to Him, faithfully serve Him, they sinned.  They forgot His mercy and ignore His counsel.  They were not contented with the manna but craved for meat.  They complained and criticized Moses.  And they worshipped a golden calf.  While wandering in the desert, they conspired with heathen nations, worshipped their idols, and sacrificed their sons and daughters to their god.  So, God had to chasten them.  He handed them over to the surrounding nations.  When Moses and Aaron interceded for them, God remembered His covenant and relented out of His love and mercy.

Keep yourself from being defiled by the world’s temptations.  Give thanks to the Lord for His goodness.  Proclaim the wonderful works of God.  Maintain justice and do what is right. And remember to PRAISE THE LORD!
