“How many are your works, O Lord! In wisdom you made them all; the earth is full of your creatures” (Psalm 104:24)
“May the glory of the Lord endure forever; may the Lord rejoice in his works “(Psalm 104:31)
“I will sing to the Lord all my life; I will sing praise to my God as long as I live. May my meditation be pleasing to him, as I rejoice in the Lord” (Psalm 104:33-34)
God is the God of creation and God of nature. This chapter described the grandeur and diversity of what He has made. It shows how great God is. He made the heavens, clouds, winds, earth, waters, mountains, grass, planets, tress, moon, sun, sea, stars, wild animals, birds and all the beast of the field and forests. He supplied our physical needs with food, wine, oil and bread. Wine and oil are pictures of the Holy Spirit. Bread is a picture of the Word of God. God nurtures and nourishes us with spiritual diet.
God’s creation reveals His wisdom. He positions the earth, arranges the seasons, and keeps the planets. He provides wealth in His creation with gold, silver, precious stones, metals and food. His creation should motivate us to take good care of it.
God is a God who controls the whole world. Life and death are under His hands. He changes the season with summers, winter, autumn and spring. Therefore, He can manage our lives in any season forever.
After considering all of God’s creation, the psalmist said: “I am going to sing to the Lord and sing praises to my God as long as I live” (v. 33).
Let us look at the blessings of God’s creation. Let us preserve His created wonders. Let us enjoy His provisions and worship him. Let us appreciate his creative power with thanksgiving. And let us rejoice in the Lord.
