“Our help is in the name of the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth” (Psalm 124:8)
The emphasis of this Psalm is “GOD IS ON OUR SIDE“. The Psalmist compared their enemies to ferocious lions who would attack and swallow them alive. He was describing how the enemies can engulf them like the flood and swept them over like the torment of the raging water. But since God is on their side, they escaped like a bird out of the fowler’s snare. They were set free by the help of the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth.
Satan is like a roaring lion. Do not let him devour you. Do not let him drown you. And do not let him imprison you. Follow Christ because “If God is for us, who can be against us? (Romans 8:31)[:]
