[:en]SCRIPTURE: PSALM 125
“Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be shaken but endures forever” (Psalm 125:1)
“Do good, O Lord, to those who are good, to those who are upright in heart” (Psalm 125:4)
WHY IS GOD BEING DESCRIBED LIKE THE MOUNTAINS SURROUNDING JERUSALEM?
- Mountain is stable. It endures forever. Likewise, God is dependable. He never changes because He is the same yesterday, today and forevermore.
- Mountain offers security. When the wind blows and the rain comes, hiding in the mountain is safe. Likewise, God is like Mount Zion, who is surrounding and guarding us. Those who trust in the Lord have security because God is our refuge and strength, an ever present help in times of trouble (Ps. 46:1)
Whenever you are afraid, Trust the Lord. He can offer you both stability and security.[:]
