[:en]SCRIPTURE: PSALM 126
“The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy” (Psalm 126:322)
“Those who sow in tears will reap with songs of joy./ He who goes out weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with him” (Psalm 126:5-6)
This song is a celebration of Jerusalem’s deliverance from the Assyrian army during the reign of Hezekiah (2 Kings 18-19). It happened so fast that the people thought it was a dream. They were filled with laughter and joy. Even among other nations admitted that “The Lord has done great things for them”.
The Psalmist said: Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy. God’s people are going, weeping, carrying seed , sowing and reaping. When they reaped they reaped in joy. As Christians, we must sow the seed of the Word of God. Sow the love of God. Plant the seeds that produces the fruit of the Spirit.
If you are living for pleasures in sin, that harvest will bring weeping. But if you are living in the will of God, the harvest is going to bring joy. What are your sowing today? What kind of harvest do you expect to receive?[:zh]SCRIPTURE: PSALM 126
