[:en]SCRIPTURE: PSALM 134
“Praise the Lord, all you servants of the Lord, who minister by night in the house of the Lord. Lift up your hands in the sanctuary and praise the Lord. May the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth, bless you from Zion” (Psalm 134:1-3)
It is never easy to be working on the night shift. The priest were praying and praising God in His temple at night. So, the Psalmist wrote this psalm to encourage the priests to give thanks as they served God and the people at night.
Paul and Silas were in prison. But they lifted their hearts praying and singing praises to God during the night. And God was awaken, so He sent deliverance. Whether we are experiencing song in the night, sacrificing in the night, or serving in the night, God is awake. He sees and hears us.
Jesus, our High Priest in heaven intercedes for us day and night. He never grows weary or impatient. Do you thank Him for His faithful ministry? Have you ever appreciated God’s servants who are serving Him in the night? Are you willing to serve others during the night shift?[:]
