[:en]SCRIPTURE:  PSALM 132

“O Lord, remember David and all the hardships he endured.  He swore an oath to the Lord and made a vow to the Mighty One of Jacob; I will not enter my house or go to my bed – I will allow no sleep to my eyes, no slumber to my eyelids, till I find a place for the Lord, a dwelling for the Mighty One of Jacob” (Psalm 139:1-4)

“Here I will make a horn grow for David and set up a lamp for my anointed one.  I will clothe his enemies with shame, but the crown on his head will be resplendent” (Psalm 139:17-18)

King David’s dream was to build a temple for the Lord.  He would not sleep until he found a dwelling place for the Lord Almighty.  But God did not allow him to fulfill his ambition.  It was his son Solomon who built it and he helped the next generation by providing money, gold, silver, precious stones, bronze and iron to build the temple.

Instead of David building a house for God, it was God who built a house for David.  That house was his family.  He promised David that there will always be one of his descendants on the throne of Israel forever and ever if his sons will keep His commands and statutes.

Sometimes, God does not allow us to fulfill our dreams.  But we can help fulfill someone’s dream by providing and sharing.

As God promised kingship to David’s descendants, He also wants us to reign as kings in righteousness for His glory.  If you are a child of God through faith in Christ, you are clothed with salvation.  You will be seated with Christ in heaven and rejoice your birthright like a king.[:]
