[:en]SCRIPTURE:  PROVERBS 14

“The wise woman builds her house, but with her own hands the foolish one tears hers down” (Proverbs 14:1)

“Stay away from a foolish man, for you will not find knowledge on his lips” (Proverbs 14:7)

“The house of the wicked will be destroyed, but the tent of the upright will flourish” (Proverbs 14:11)

“The poor are shunned even by their neighbors, but the rich have many friends” (Proverbs 14:20)

“He who despises his neighbor sins, but blessed is he who is kind to the needy” *Proverbs 14:21)

“All hard work brings a profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty (Proverbs 14:23)

“He who fears the Lord has a secure fortress, and for his children it will be a refuge” (Proverbs 14:26)

“The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, turning a man from the snares of death” (Proverbs 14:27)

“A patient man has great understanding, but a quick tempered man displays folly” (Proverbs 14:29)

“A heart at peace gives life to the body, but envy rots the bones” (Proverbs 14:30)

DESCRIPTION OF THE FOOLS:

  1.  The foolish woman tears her house down (v. 1)
  2. Their ways are devious (v. 2)
  3. They pour out lies (v. 5)
  4. They have no knowledge (v. 7)
  5. They are deceptive (v. 8)
  6. Their house will be destroyed (v. 11)
  7. They believe in anything (v. 15)
  8. they are hot-headed and reckless (v. 16)
  9. They are lazy with only mere talk (v. 23)
  10. They are quick tempered (v. 17, 29)
  11. They plot evil (v. 22)
  12. They are envious (v. 30)
  13. They oppress the poor (v. 31)
  14. The are brought down by calamity (v. 32)

DESCRIPTION OF THE WISE:

  1. He fears the Lord with upright walk (v. 2)
  2. He is a truthful witness (v. 5)
  3. He has goodwill (v. 9)
  4. He will flourish (v. 11)
  5. He will be rewarded (v. 14)
  6. He give thoughts to his steps (v. 15)
  7. He fears the Lord and shuns evil (v. 16)
  8. He is crowned with knowledge (v. 18)
  9. He is kind to the needy (v. 21)
  10. He saves lives by being a truthful witness (v. 25)
  11. He fears the Lord and has a secure fortress (. 26)
  12. He is patient and understanding (v. 29)
  13. He is a peaceful man (v. 30)
  14. He is kind to the needy (v. 31)
  15. He has a refuge (v. 32)
  16. He has wisdom with a discerning heart (v. 33)

Watch out for fools.  You cannot trust them.  Their speech can tear you down.  Their quick temper can get you into trouble.  Instead, fear the Lord and seek wisdom for Him.  He will strengthen your confidence and give you protection.
