[:en]SCRIPTURE:  PROVERBS
“Do not rebuke a mocker or he will hate you; rebuke a wise man and he will be wiser still’ teach a righteous man and he will add to his learning” (Proverbs 9:8-9)

“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding” (Proverbs 9:10)

“Stolen water is sweet; food eaten in secret is delicious!  But little do they know that the dead are there, that their guests are in the depths of the grave” (Proverbs 9:17-18)

INVITATION OF WISDOM AND OF FOLLY

  1. COME ANT EAT – Wisdom set her table with meat and wine.  She invites people to come and eat.  Folly also calls out to those who passed by.  She offers stolen water and secret food at her table.   Which house will you enter?
  2. COME AND LEARN – The mocker and the wicked refused to be corrected.  But the wise and the righteous man learns from rebuke.  They adopt instruction and became wiser.  Are you willing to be disciplined?
  3. COME AND LIKE – Through wisdom, your days will be many and year will be added to your life (v. 11).  But folly is undisciplined without knowledge.  They abuse their bodies with sin and cut their lives short.  What do you choose.  Life or death”?
