[:en]SCRIPTURE:  PROVERBS 11

“The Lord abhors dishonest scales, but accurate weights are his delight” (Proverbs 11:1)

“When pride comes, then  comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom” (Proverbs 11:2)

“A gossip betrays a confidence, but a trustworthy man keeps a secret” (Proverbs 11:13)

“He who puts up security for another will surely suffer, but whoever refuses to strike hands in pledge is safe” (Proverbs 11:15)

“Like a gold ring in a pig’s snout is a beautiful woman who shows no discretion” (Proverbs 11:22)

“One man gives freely, yet gains even more; another withholds unduly, but comes to poverty.  A generous man will prosper; he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed” (vs. 24-25)

“Whoever trusts in his riches will fall, but the righteous will thrive like a green leaf” (Proverbs 11:28)

BENEFITS OF BEING RIGHTEOUS

  1. He will be delivered from death (v. 4)
  2. There is a straight way for him (v. 5)
  3. He is rescued from trouble (v. 8)
  4. It benefits himself (v. 17)
  5. He reaps a sure reward (v/ 18_
  6. He attains life (v. 19)
  7. He will go free (v. 21)
  8. He ends in good (v. 23)
  9. He finds goodwill (v. 27)
  10. He will thrive like a green leaf (v. 28)
  11. The tree of life is his fruit (v. 30)

Strive to be righteous in your talk and walk.  For God delights in the righteous and delivers them from lust, death, trouble and gossip.  Those who sow righteousness will flourish like a healthy tree and become a blessings to others.[:]
