“My lover is radiant and ruddy, outstanding among ten thousand.” (Song of Songs 5:10)
The lover came to his beloved and knocked at the door. But the beloved was sleeping. When she arose to open for her lover, her lover had left and gone. But he left myrrh on the handles of the lock to her.
The beloved did not blame her lover. Instead, she told others that her lover was radiant and ruddy, outstanding among ten thousand (v. 10). She described his head, hair, eyes, cheeks, lips arms, body, legs, appearance and mouth all together lovely.
Be alert to His voice. When He comes to speak and knock, you must yield to His call and respond immediately. Otherwise, He may depart and you may not be able to enjoy His love. Seek the Lord with a loving and affectionate heart. Respond to His call with an alert heart.[:]
