“Therefore the lord himself will give you a sing: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel” (Isaiah 7:14)
When King Rezin of Aram and Pekah of Israel united to depose King Ahaz of Judah, the Lord told Isaiah to tell Ahaz not to be afraid but to stand firm in his faith. He told Ahaz to ask a sign from the Lord but Ahaz refused. Instead, he trusted in his own wisdom by making a treaty with the King of Assyria. As a result, Assyria had become the threat of Ahaz. Israel was invaded by Assyria in 722 B.C. under King Hezekiah.
Trust in God instead of men. It is faith in God and trust in His Word that will bring us victory.[:]
