[:en]SCRIPTURE:  ISAIAH 14

“The Lord will have compassion on Jacob; once again he will choose Israel and will settle them in their own land.  Alien will join them and unite with the house of Jacob” (Isaiah 14:1)

“The Lord has broken the rod of the wicked, the scepter of the rulers, which in anger struck down peoples with unceasing blows, and in fury subdued nations with relentless aggression” (Isaiah 14:5-6)

“I will rise up against them” declares the Lord Almighty.  I will dutr off from Babylon her name and survivors, her offspring and descendants” declares the Lord” (Isaiah 14:22)

“Surely, as I have planned, so it will be and as I have purposed, so it will stand.  I will crush the Assyrian in my land; on my mountains I will trample him down.  His yoke will be taken from my people, and his burden removed from their shoulders” (Isaiah 14:25)

“For the Lord Almighty has purposed, and who can thwart him?  His hand is stretched out, and who can turn it back? (Isaiah 14:27)

“Do not rejoice, all you Philistines, that the rod that struck you is broken; from the root of that snake will spring up a viper; its fruit will be a darting, venomous serpent” (Isaiah 14:29)

“What answer shall be given to the envoys of that nation? “The Lord has established Zion, and in her his afflicted people will find refuge” (Isaiah 14:32)

The Lord will bring the nation of Israel back with compassion.  He will settle them in their own lands and rule over their oppressors.

Behind the Babylonian system was Lucifer – the enemy of God.  He was described as the morning star, son of the dawn who was fallen from heaven.  He wanted to ascend to heaven, to raise his throne above the stars of God, to sit enthroned on the mount of assembly and utmost heights of the sacred mountain, to ascend above the tops of the cloud and to make himself like the Most High.  But he was brought down to the grave, to the depths of the pit (vs. 12-15)

A PROPHESY AGAINST ASSYRIA (vs. 24-27)

God had prepared to crush the Assyrian and trample them down.  What the Lord Almighty has purposed, no one can thwart it.

A PROPHESY AGAINST PHILISTINES  (vs. 28-32)

God will destroy Philistines by famine.  And God’s people will finds refuge in Zion.[:]
