[:en]SCRIPTURE: ISAIAH 32
“See, a king will reign in righteousness and rulers will rule with justice. Each man will be like a shelter from the wind and a refuge from the storm, like streams of water in the desert and the shadow of a great rock in a thirsty land” (Isaiah 32:1-2)
“The fruit of righteousness will be peace; the effect of righteousness will be quietness and confidence forever. My people will live in peaceful dwelling places, in secure homes, in undisturbed places of rest” (Isaiah 32:17-18)
THE KINGDOM OF RIGHTEOUSNESS
A king who reigns in righteousness and rules with justice can provide people the following benefits: shelter from the wind, refuge from the storm, streams of water in the desert and shadow of a great rock in thirsty land. (vs. 1-2)
There were many fools and scoundrels who made wicked methods and evil schemes to destroy the poor and needy and their justice. But God wanted people to open their eyes and ears in order to see and to listen to spiritual truth (vs. 3-8)
THE WOMEN OF JERUSALEM
Isaiah gave warnings to the careless women of the land who were so complacent. They felt secure when their happy homes were about to be destroyed. They lived at ease as God’s judgment was about to fall. (vs. 9-15)
Finally in the future Kingdom, there will be peace and prosperity. Justice will dwell in the desert and righteousness will live in the fertile land (vs. 16-20)
