[:en]SCRIPTURE: ISAIAH 35
“Say to those with fearful hearts, “Be strong, do not fear; your God will come, he will come with vengeance; with divine retribution he will come to save you” (Isaiah 35:4)
“And a highway will be there; it will be called the Way of Holiness. The unclean will not journey on it; it will be for those who walk in that Way; wicked fools will not go about on it” (Isaiah 35:8)
“And the ransomed of the Lord will return. They will enter Zion with singing; everlasting joy will crown their heads. Gladness and joy will overtake them, and sorrow and sighing will flee away” (Isaiah 35:10)
JOY OF THE REDEEMED
After the announcement of judgment, here comes the assurance of joy.
CHANGES THAT WILL TAKE PLACE FROM THE REDEEMED;
- The desert in the wilderness will bloom and blossom. The glory of Lebanon to the splendor of Carmel and Sharon will see the glory of God. (vs. 1-2)
- God will come with vengeance with with divine retribution to save those with fearful hearts (vs. 3-4)
- The blind can see and the deaf can hear (v. 5)
- The lame can leap like a deer and the mute can speak and shout for joy (v. 6)
- The thirsty ground will grow to become a beautiful garden (v. 7)
- The redeemed will walk safely on God’s highway of Holiness (vs. 8-9)
- The ransomed of the Lord will return with gladness and joy (v. 10)
While waiting for the physical blessing, we can enjoy the spiritual blessings of God’s protection, healing, strength, fruitfulness, guidance, holiness and joy if we yield to Him.[:]
