[:en]SCRIPTURE: ISAIAH 44
“This is what the Lord says – Israel’s king and Redeemer, the Lord Almighty: I am the first and I am the last; apart from me there is no God” ( Isaiah 44:2)
“I have swept away your offenses like a cloud, your sins like the morning mist. Return to me, for I have redeemed you” (Isaiah 44:22)
“This is what the lord says – your Redeemer, who formed you in the womb: I am the Lord, who has made all things, who alone stretched out the heavens, who spread out the earth by myself” (Isaiah 44:24)
ISRAEL THE CHOSEN (vs. 1-5)
The Lord reminded His chosen people that He made and formed them and would help them. He will meet their needs and bless their descendants.
THE LORD, NOT IDOLS ( vs. 6-23)
The Lord is the first and the last. Apart from Him, there is no god. Idols are man made. They are worthless but mem make it as their idols and bow down to worship it.
JERUSALEM TO BE INHABITED (vs. 24-28)
God is going to rebuild and restore Jerusalem. It will be a time of redemption and rejoicing. For God will use a pagan ruler to accomplish His purpose. And Jerusalem will be inhabited again.[:]
