[:en]SCRIPTURE:  ISAIAH 52

“How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Ion, “Your God reigns” (Isaiah 52:7)

“The Lord will lay bare his holy arm in the sight of all nations, and all the ends of the earth will see the salvation of our God” (Isaiah 52:10)

“But you will not leave in haste or go in flight; for the Lord will go before you, the God of Israel will be your rear guard” (Isaiah 52:12)

Isaiah was calling the people to make the following preparation as the night of trial was over:

  1.  Be awake and cloth yourselves with garments of strength and splendor. (v. 1)
  2.  Free yourself from the chains.  Rise up and sit enthroned. (v. 2)
  3. Bring good news, proclaim peace and good tidings of salvation. (v. 7)
  4. Sing songs of joy together (v. 9)
  5. Touch no unclean things and depart (v. 11)

As we are preparing for the coming of the Lord, let us wake up, dress up, rise up, set up, speak up and clean up.  For the Lord our God will be raised and lifted up and highly exalted.  He will be with us forever we go.
