[:en]SCRIPTURE: ISAIAH 66
“Has not my hand made all these things, and so they came into being?” declares the Lord. “This is the one I esteem: he who is humble and contrite in spirit, and trembles at my word” (Isaiah 66:2)
“As a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you; and you will be comforted over Jerusalem” (Isaiah 66:13)
“See, the Lord is coming with fire, and his chariots are like a whirlwind; he will bring down his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire. For with fire and with his sword the Lord will execute judgment upon all men, and many will be those slain by the Lord” (Isaiah 66:15-16)
“As the new heavens and the new earth that I make will endure before me,” declares the Lord, “so will your name and descendants endure” (Isaiah 66:22)
JUDGMENT AND HOPE
The Lord esteems he who is humble and contrite in spirit. He who trembles at His Word will see his joy and glorify the Lord. But he who worships idol and chooses his own way and did evil will be judged harshly.
The Kingdom of Israel will suddenly be restored. It will be joyful like the birth of a baby. Their tribulation will end and God’s name will be glorified. It will be a time of peace and joy.
All the enemies of Israel will be defeated. God will gather all nations and tongues to come and see God’s glory. Israel will become a holy offering to the Lord. God’s name and their descendants will endure forever.
