[:en]SCRIPTURE: EZEKIEL 15
“Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says: As I have given the wood of the vine among the trees of the forest as fuel for the fire, so will I treat the people living in Jerusalem. I will sent my face against them. Although they have come out of the fire, the fire will yet consume them. And when I set my face against them, you will know that I am the Lord. I will make the land desolate because they have been unfaithful, declares the Sovereign Lord.” (Ezekiel 15:6-8)
JERUSALEM, A USELESS VINE
Israel was described as a vine. Vines are good for bearing fruits or burning as fuel for fire. If the vine does not bear fruit, it is useless. God’s people in Ezekiel’s day were like a useless vine. So, God was going to judge them by burning them down.
Let us manifest our faith in Christ through good works. Let us be the light and salt of the world. Let us bear fruits for the glory of God.[:]
