[:en]SCRIPTURE:  EZEKIEL 37

“Therefore prophesy and say to them: ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord sys:  O my people, I am going to open your graves back to the land of Israel.  Then you, my people, will know that I am the Lord, when I open your graves and bring you up from them.  I will put my Spirit in you and you will live, and I will settle you in your own land.  Then you will know that I the Lord have spoken, and I have done it, declares the Lord” (Ezekiel 37:12-14)

“And say to them, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says:  I will take the Israelites out of the nations where they have gone.  I will gather them from all around and bring them back into their own land.  I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel.  There will be one king over all of them and they will never again be two nations or be divided into two kingdoms” (Ezekiel 37:21-22)

“I will make a covenant of peace with them; it will be an everlasting covenant.  I will establish them and increase their numbers and I will put my sanctuary among them forever.  My dwelling place will be with them; I will be their God, and they will be my people.  Then the nations will know that I the Lord make Israel holy, when my sanctuary is among them forever” (Ezekiel 37:26-28)

THE VALLEY OF DRY BONES

God gave Ezekiel a vision of dry bones and told him to prophesy them.  God will make breathe enter them and make them come into life.

The nation of Israel is like an army of skeleton in a desert.  But the Spirit of God resurrected them from the graves and settled them in their own land.

ONE NATION UNDER ONE KING

God commanded Ezekiel to take 2 stocks of wood and write Ephraim in one stick and Judah in another stick.  Then join them together to become one stick.  It signifies that the divided nation of Israel will be united under one nation and one king.  God will cleanse them to become His people.  David will be their kind and shepherd.  They will follow His laws and keep His decrees.  An everlasting covenant of peace will be re-established with God’s sanctuary as their dwelling place.  The Lord will make Israel holy.  He will be their God and they will be His people.

During creation, God breathe into man when he created Adam (Gen. 2:7).  All Scripture is God breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness (1 Timothy 3:16).  When Jesus appeared to His disciples, he breathed on them to receive the Holy Spirit (John 20:22).  One day, God will also breathe into His chosen people and make them a new nation.

Today, God is reconciling the Jews and the Gentiles into one temple (Ephesians 2:11-22).  It is our duty to share God’s Word by the power of the Holy Spirit.[:]
