[:en]SCRIPTURE:  HOSEA 5

“When Ephraim saw his sickness, and Judah his sores, then Ephraim turned to Assyria, and sent to the great king for help.  But he is not able to cure you, not able to heal your sores” (Hosea 5:13)

“Then I will go back to my place until they admit their guilt.  And they will seek my face; in their misery they will earnestly seek me” (Hosea 5:15)

JUDGMENT AGAINST ISRAEL

Judgment was against the ministers, Israelites and the Royal house.  Ephraim turned to prostitution.  Israel was corrupt and Judah stumbled with them.  They could not find the Lord because he had withdrawn Himself from them,.

Because Ephraim pursued idol, she is oppressed, trampled and laid waste.  Judah leaders moved boundary stones so that God poured out His wrath on them.

Ephraim turned to Assyria and Judah sought help from great king.  Unfortunately, they were unable to cure their sickness nor heal their sores.  God will be like a lion tearing them down to pieces.  He will not go back to them unless they admit their guilt and seek His face.

When we are unfaithful to God, He will withdraw His blessings from us.  He will only welcome us back if we repent our sins and seek Him sincerely.[:]
