[:en]Our Daily Verse (11/29/21)[:]

[:en]SCRIPTURE:  HOSEA 11

“When Israel was a child, I loved him, and out of Egypt I called my son.  But the more I called Israel, the further they went from me.  They sacrificed to the Baals and they burned incense to images.  It was I who taught Ephraim to walk, taking them by the arms; but they did not realize it was I who healed them.  I led them with cords of human kindness, with ties of love; I lifted the yoke from their neck and bent down to feed them” (Hosea 11:1-4)

“I will not carry out my fierce anger, nor will I turn and devastate Ephraim.  For I am God, and not man – the Holy One among you” (Hosea 10:9)

“They will come trembling like birds from Egypt, like doves from Assyria, I will settle them in their homes” declares the Lord” (Hosea 11:9-11)

GOD’S LOVE FOR ISRAEL

God loves Israel like a father is to his son.  He delivered them from the hands of Egypt.  He taught them, led them, healed them, feed them and carried from them.  But they turned to Baal and burnt incense to images.

They were determined to turn away from God and follow their own plans.  But our Sovereign God is compassionate./  He will not carry out his fierce anger nor devate Ephraim.  He will call from them with a lion[s roar and both Judah & Israel will come with trembling hats.[:]
