SCRIPTURE: HEBREWS 1
INTRODUCTION:
Although the author of Hebrews is unknown, tradition points to Paul as the writer. This letter was written to Jewish Christians who faced persecutions and were ready to give up their faith and return to the Jewish belief. The writer wanted to encourage them to move ahead in the spiritual lives by showing them in Christ, they have the better blessings.
The theme of this Book is “to go on to perfect spiritual maturity”. The emphasis is ‘by faith”. The purpose is to present the suffering and superiority of Christ.
The letter gave warnings to believer’s wrong attitude toward the Word of God that would lead them to the chastening hand of God and lost reward at the judgment seat of Christ.
BIBLE VERSES:

THOUGHTS:
God have revealed His son completely. Through Christ, we understand the mystery of everything: when it came from, when it is going, what keeps it going. We know that He died for us. He is truly human and divine. He is superior than angels now sitteth on the throne praying for us. One day, he will defeat all His enemies and rule in triumph at His glorious kingdom.
Christ is the only security in this changing world. He is changeless, faithful and merciful. If we trust him, we are absolutely secured because we are standing on the firmest foundation in the universe – Jesus Christ.
Angels are God’s messenger spiritual beings created by God. Their functions are: protecting the helpless, proclaiming God’s message and executing God’s judgment. We are not to worship them.
