SCRIPTURE: LEVITICUS 14
CLEANSING FROM INFECTIOUS SKIN DISEASES (vs. 1-32)
REGULATIONS ON CLEANSING INFECTIOUS SKIN DISEASES:
- After the priest had examined the diseased person outside the camp being healed of his infectious skin diseases, the priest shall order 2 live clean birds, some cedar wood, scarlet yarn and hyssop. One bird is to be killed. The priest will sprinkle the blood 7 times to the one to be cleansed of the infectious disease and pronounce him clear. Then, he is to release the live bird in the open field.
- The person to be cleansed must wash his clothes shave off all his hair and bathe with water. Then he will be ceremonially clean. After this, he may come into the camp but he must stay outside his tent for 7 days. On the 7th day, he must shave all of his hari, his head, his beard, his eyebrows and the rest of his hair. He must bathe himself with water and he will be clean.
- On the 8th day, he must bring 2 male lambs and one ewe lamb a year old, each without defectalong with 3/10 of an ephah of fine flour mixed with oil for a grain offering and one log of oil. The priest who pronounced him clean shall present him and his offerings before the Lord at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting. The male lamb is to be slaughtered to serve as guilt offering and the blood served as sin offering and burnt offering.
- If the person is poor, he must take one male lamb as guilt offering together with 10/10 of an ephah of fine flour mixed with oil for a grain offering and 2 doves or 2 hojung pigeon for sin offering and burnt offering.
CLEANSING FROM MILDDEW (vs. 33-56)
If a house is found to have mildew, it must be closed up for 7 days. On the 7th day, if the mildew has spread, they have to scrape the walls and replace them with stones. If the mildew has spread, it is a destructive mildew and the house must be torn down. But if the mildew has not spread, the house is pronounced clean. Then to purify the house, 2 birds and some cedar wood, scarlet yarn and hyssop are needed. One of the bird is to be killed. Then the blood be sprinkled on the house 7 times. Then the live bird be released into the open fields outside the house. The the house will be cleaned.

God have Israelites laws to diagnose contagious skin diseases and mildew for their health and protection. God also give us His Word to provide a physically, spiritually and morally healthy living. If we obey them, we will thrive.
