SCRIPTURE: NUMBERS 9
THE PASSOVER (vs. 1-14)
The Passover is to be celebrated in the Desert of Sinai at twilight on the 14th day of the first month in according with all its rules and regulations. Those who are unclean are to celebrate it on the 14th day of the second month at twilight. They are to eat the lamb together with unleavened bread and bitter herbs. They are not to leave any of it till morning or break any of its bones. Anyone who is ceremonially clean and not on a journey but fails to celebrate must be cut off from his people. All foreigners and aliens must follow its rules and regulations in celebrating the Passover.
THE CLOUD ABOVE THE TABERNACLE (vs. 15-23)
As long as the cloud stayed over the tabernacle, the Israelites remained in camp. Whenever the cloud lifted above the tent, the Israelites set out. This is the command the Lord wanted them to obey.
THOUGHTS:
The Jews were a pilgrim people living in tents and they had to be ready to move at a moment’s notice. They have to move by following God’s instruction through the cloud. Today, the Word of God through the Holy Spirit leads us by day and by night. What we need is to submit to His guidance, wait on the Lord to discover His will. Every direction from God has a purpose in placing where you are. Begin to understand God’s purpose for your life by discovering what he wants you to do now.
