THOUGHTS:
The observance of the rituals gave the people the opportunity to prepare their hearts for worship. Today, we no longer need those rituals. However, we must prepare our hearts when we come to worship Him. Our worship is meaningless if we don’t come to his presence with a contrite heart and a spirit of devotion and thankfulness.
Why were extra offerings required on the Sabbath day? The Sabbath was s special day of rest and worship commemorating both creation and the deliverance from Egypt. We should consider Sabbath day a day or rest and worship and our deliverance from the bondage of sin .
