SCRIPTURE: PSALMS 5
MEMORY VERSE:
“But let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may rejoice in you.” (Psalms 5:11)
PRAYER OF DAVID:
- Listen to my cry for help. (v. 12)
- Lead me, O Lord in your righteousness. (v. 8)
- Declare them guilty and banish them O God. (v. 10)
- Spread your protection over those who take refuge in you. (v. 11)
PEOPLE WHOM GOD ABHORS;
- Evil men (v. 4a)
- The Wicked (v. 4b)
- The Arrogant (v. 5)
- The Liars (v. 6)
WHO ARE CONSIDERED AS EVIL MEN?
- The word from their mouth cannot be trusted. (v. 9ab)
- Their heart is filled with destruction. (v. 9b)
- Their throat is an open grave with their tongue that speaks deceit. (v. 9c)
THOUGHTS:
David prayed to God in the morning and laid down his request. He started his day by communicating with the Lord. We also need to build up a close relationship with God through prayer and listening to His Word. Do you have a regular time to pray and read the Bible?
