Our Daily Scripture – 12/2/23 (Saturday)

SCRIPTURE:  PSALMS 5

MEMORY VERSE:

“But  let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy.  Spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may rejoice in you.” (Psalms 5:11)

PRAYER OF DAVID:

  1.  Listen to my cry for help. (v. 12)
  2.  Lead me, O Lord in your righteousness. (v. 8)
  3.  Declare them guilty and banish them O God. (v. 10)
  4.  Spread your protection over those who take refuge in you. (v. 11)

PEOPLE WHOM GOD ABHORS;

  1.  Evil men (v. 4a)
  2.  The Wicked (v. 4b)
  3.  The Arrogant (v. 5)
  4.  The Liars (v. 6)

WHO ARE CONSIDERED AS EVIL MEN?

  1. The word from their mouth cannot be trusted. (v. 9ab)
  2. Their heart is filled with destruction. (v. 9b)
  3. Their throat is an open grave with their tongue that speaks deceit. (v. 9c)

THOUGHTS:

David prayed to God in the morning and laid down his request.  He started his day by communicating with the Lord.  We also need to build up a close relationship with God through prayer and listening to His Word.  Do you have a regular time to pray and read the Bible?
