SCRIPTURE: PSALM 60
MEMORY VERSES:
“But for those who fear you, you have raised a banner to be unfurled against the bow.” (Psalm 60:4)
“Give us aid against the enemy, for the help of man is worthless. With God we will gain the victory, and he will trample down our enemies.” (psalm 60:11-12)
This Psalm was written during the time when David and Joab were fighting against two enemies in the north – Aram Naharaim and Aram Zobah. Then a third enemy came to invade the south. David was so heart broken thinking that God had rejected them. However, David did not ran away. Instead, he boldly lifted the banner of God’s truth. God assured David that He was in control of the nation. So David and Joab stepped out by faith and won both battles.
THOUGHTS:
God said that the cities and territories of Israel were His and He knew the future of each of the nation. Today, there are wars between Israel and Hamas. Remember that God is in control of everything event in the world. He will help His nation to win the victory.
