SCRIPTURE: PSALM 110
WHAT THE LORD WILL:
- The Lord will extend your mighty scepter from Zion. (v. 2)
- The Lord has sworn and will not change his mind. (v. 4)
- The Lord will crush kings on the day of his wrath. (v. 5)
- The Lord will judge the nations, heaping up the dead and crushing the rulers of the whole earth. (v. 6)
- The lord will will life up his head. (v. 7)
THOUGHTS:
Jesus is the Messiah who is greater than David. He is a priest forever in the order of Melchizedek. Jesus acts as the rule of the king priest. In the final battle on earth, Christ will overcome the forces of evil. (vs. 5-6). Peter proclaimed that Jesus, the son of God will sit at the right hand of God and is Lord over all. His reign will be forever.
