Our Daily Scripture – 3/19/24 (Tuesday)

SCRIPTURE:  PSALM 113

MEMORY VERSES:

 ‘”Let the name of the Lord be praised, both now and forevermore.  From the rising of the sun to t he place where it sets, the names of the Lord is to be praised” (Psalm 113::2-3)

WHO SHOULD PRAISE THE LORD? – Servants of the Lord which include all of God’s people. (vs. 1)

WHEN DO WE PRAISE THE LORD? – Praise His name now and forever more. (v. 2)

WHERE DO WE PRAISE THE LORD? – From the rising of the star to the place where it sets (v. 3)

WHY SHOULD WE WORSHIP GOD? – He is exalted on all the nations and his glory above the houses.   He sits enthrone on high and looks on the heaven and the earth. (vs. 5-6)

WHAT DID GOD DO?

  1.  He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap; (v.7)
  2.  He seats them with princes, with the princes of the people. (v. 8)
  3.  He settles the barren woman in her home as a happy mother of children. (v. 9)

THOUGHTS:

God raises the poor and lifts the needly.  He chooses his future leaders from among the outcast.  We are to treat people equally because all people are valuable in God’s eye.
