Our Daily Scripture – 4/4/24 (Thursday)

SCRIPTURE:  PSALM 125

MEMORY VERSES:

“Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be shaken but endures forever” (Psalm 125:1)

“Do good, O Lord, to those who are good, to those who are upright in heart” (Psalm 125:4)

When the pilgrims arrived at Mount Zion after their dangerous journey, they felt safe and secure in God’s care.

The Lord holds the righteous scepter.  The wicked may lure the righteous into doing evil.  So, the righteous must always trust and submit to the Lord.

To those who do good, the Lord will award them with goodness.  But those who turn to crooked ways, the Lord will banish them with the evil doers. (vs. 4-5)

THOUGHTS:

Many people are drawn to the new fads and ideas of the world.  The only way to stay stable is to trust in God because he never changes.  He cannot be shaken by the changes of the world because He endures forever.
