SCRIPTURE: PSALM 129
MEMORY VERSES:
“Plowmen have plowed my back and made their furrows long. But the Lord is righteous. He has cut me free from the rods of the wicked” (Psalm 129:3-4)
The Israelites had been oppressed, discriminated and persecuted, but no one could gain victory over them. Israel’s afflictions were compared to the plowing of a field. While plowing, you have to face down in the dirt while a plow goes down your back.
THOUGHTS:
Today, Christian churches are facing severe persecutions. But Christ assured that He will build His church upon the rock. So, despite of persecution and discrimination, the church will never be destroyed. When you face persecution or discrimination, take courage. Trust the Lord to help you in His own time. Wait for the Lord to judge your enemies.
