Our Daily Scripture – 4/10/24 (Wednesday)

SCRIPTURE:  PSALM 131

MEMORY VERSE:

“O Israel, put your hope in the Lord, both now and forevermore” (Psalm 131:3)

As a child grows, he has to undergo the process of weaning.  Most children resist weaning because they want to continue enjoying the special attention of mother and the security it brings.  But weaning is the first step towards maturity and freedom.

THOUGHTS:

Pride is abhorred by God because it is uplifting oneself above others.  Humility is favored by God because it puts others first and allows God’s leading.

Our lives in this world consists a series of weaning.  But as we mature in the Lord, we must put away children things.  When God weans away something from you, do not fret because He has something better to take its place.
