Our Daily Scripture – 4/12/24 (Friday)

SCRIPTURE: PSALM 133

MEMORY VERSE:

“How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity.  It is like precious oil poured on the head, running down on the beard, running down on Aaron’s beard, down :upon the collar of his robes” (Psalm 133:1-2)

David described that brothers who can live harmoniously together is wonderful and pleasant.  It is as precious as the fragrance of anointing oil.  It is as refreshing as the dew from Mt. Hermon that falls on the mountains of Zion.

THOUGHTS:

This Psalm reminds us that brothers should live harmoniously in unity.  True unity is described like dew that  produces fruitfulness.  It is pleasant and fragrant.  The opposite of unity is division which produces opposite results.

Unity is important in church because it serves as a positive example to draw other to Christ.  Unity is needed to renew and revitalize God’s ministry.  Our outreach expression of unity will reflect our inward unity of peace
